Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems Plan Review & Inspection

New fire alarm systems require a deferred plan submittal, rough inspection, and final inspection / acceptance testing.  Final inspection / acceptance testing requires a 24 hour power-off period followed by 5 minutes of full alarm.

Fire alarm systems where an initiating device, notification appliance, control relay, or software is added, deleted, modified, or significantly repaired require a deferred plan submittal and full reaccepteance testing.

Fire alarm systems undergoing minor repairs (i.e., like-for-like device or appliance replacement) do not typically require a plan review or inspection.  Please contact us for a determination.

Automatic Fire Sprinkler System Plan Review and Inspection

New automatic fire sprinkler systems (13, 13D, & 13R systems) require a deferred plan submittal, rough inspection, and final inspection.  If required, supervisory signaling devices are tested during the final inspection.

Residential additions or remodels (including multi-family 13D & 13R systems), require a deferred plan submittal, rough inspection, and final inspection.

Commercial TI’s (13 systems), where more than 5 sprinkler heads are added, removed, or relocated require a deferred plan submittal, rough inspection, and final inspection.
